The Chaplain shares in providing for the pastoral wellbeing of students. They also lead regular worship, provide spiritual leadership, and assist in the teaching of religion through Anam Cara (‘Soul Friend’) Learning which is taught in conjunction with the Positive Learning wellbeing curriculum. Opportunities such as Eucharist/Calm Space provide students with the time and space for worship, contemplative practices and personal reflection.

While St Michael’s is firmly grounded in the Anglican tradition and the values of the Community of the Sisters of the Church, it is a diverse and inclusive community. The Chaplain is also available to members of the St Michael’s community (including families and Old Michaelians) to assist in support for families, and leading rites of passage and family celebrations.
