Every parent takes great care in choosing the right school for their child, seeking to determine which environment will support them and allow them to reach their full potential. It can be difficult to decide what is best, so to help you decide whether St Michael’s is the right school for your family, here are some simple points to consider:

Students are at the centre of all that we do.

As a one-campus school of 1200 students from Kindergarten to Year 12, we know who our students are and we nurture them as individuals.

Academic achievement and wellbeing are inextricably linked at St Michael’s.

There is no need to decide between your child’s academic achievement, and their happiness and personal growth. A happy child, who is supported to develop a love of learning and given the chance to explore their passions and interests, will excel.

Coeducation is good for girls and boys.

We believe that a coeducation experience better prepares both girls and boys for the wider world. In a School where every student is respected, encouraged to have a voice and given the confidence to speak up, all students flourish.

Our staff are caring, passionate experts.

We have a broad curriculum offering and a wide range of Co-Curricular and extra-curricular programs, all taught or led by carefully selected staff with a diverse range of life experiences, dedicated to helping our students thrive. We have an ongoing program of professional development, to ensure that our staff remain at the forefront of contemporary practice.

We believe education is a partnership between our families and our School.

It is important to us that your whole family feels part of the St Michael’s community. We ask each of our students to participate fully in the life of the School and we hope that our families will also choose to become active members of our vibrant and welcoming parent community.

We live our values.

Our values of Dignity, Respect, Care and Compassion come to us from the Sisters of the Church, who founded our School. You will see these values written large as you enter the School and you will see them lived by students and staff alike. They inform and shape our behaviours and our teaching practice, and they guide us as we educate our students to be contributing citizens of the world.

You will find out more about St Michael’s as you browse our website, but we are always very happy to talk to you and answer all your questions personally.

We look forward to welcoming you to the St Michael’s community.
