The St Michael’s School uniform enables us to develop a sense of community and belonging, define our identity and provide a link from one generation of students to the next. As custodians of this legacy, students are expected to wear the uniform with dignity, pride and respect. The present St Michael’s uniform is contemporary and practical, and provides flexibility across a range of activities and conditions.

Respected family-run business Bob Stewart, is the School’s provider of all new School uniform items and provides a high level of service to St Michael’s parents, from two uniform shop locations with extended opening hours, and online.

Malvern East Store

Bob Stewart’s existing store in Malvern East is open six days per week for parents to purchase School uniform items. The store also offers extended opening hours, and easy parking options available.

Albert Park Store

Bob Stewart is pleased to announce the opening of a new store in Albert Park, which provides alternate opening days (remaining open during non-term time and Saturdays), with easier access and better parking for parents.

Ordering Uniforms

The St Michael’s Grammar School uniform is only available from Bob Stewart’s Albert Park and Malvern stores, or via the Bob Stewart website. Delivery options include click and collect or postage at $14.95 flat rate (excludes Blazers and schoolbags). Uniform items cannot be purchased through your St Michael’s account.


Second-hand Uniforms

The sale of second-hand uniforms is a great service to the community – providing an opportunity to recycle uniforms, and giving community members the option of reducing the cost of purchasing uniforms, usually charged at 60% of the new retail price.

Buying uniforms
The Parent Community Association (PCA) coordinates the sale of second-hand uniforms, and stock is carefully checked for quality. Any items that are not up to our strict standards, outmoded uniform items, or items which have not sold within a year, will be donated to charitable organisations servicing overseas communities.

Upcoming second-hand uniform sales
We encourage parents to take advantage of the PCA’s second-hand uniform sales. Second-hand uniform sales are held in the foyer of St George’s Church, directly across the road from the main campus entrance on Chapel Street. Items are available for purchase during monthly Saturday sale dates – these can be found on our events calendar.

Consigning or donating second-hand uniforms
Second-hand uniforms for consignment or donation can be dropped off throughout the School year at Chapel Reception, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.

Please note that due to health regulations, we cannot accept hats, socks, shoes, bathers or school bags.

Please assist us to sell your clothes, by presenting them in saleable condition as follows:

  • In excellent condition, free of stains, marks and tears.
  • Blazers, tunics and skirts must be dry cleaned in their bag with tag and hung on coat hangers.
  • All other items must be laundered, pressed and placed neatly on a hanger or in a bag that is also able to be donated.
  • All buttons, hooks, hems and seams intact, standard pockets on blazers.
  • Completed consignment form attached – download below.

This form must completed and attached to uniforms when dropping off at Chapel Reception. If any of the above conditions are not adhered to, staff will not accept the consignment.

Items that are not presented in a saleable condition or outmoded uniform items will be donated to charity. Due to space constraints, items not sold within one year may be either sold at a special ‘sale’ price or donated to charity. Once consigned to us, items cannot be returned.

Important: When consigning items, please ensure you download a new form from the link below, as this is regularly updated in line with the Uniform Guidelines, garment additions and health regulations.

If you wish to donate your second-hand uniforms, a consignment form is not required. Please place items in a bag marked ‘donation’, ensuring they still meet the saleable condition requirements above, and drop them into Chapel Reception.

Would you like to volunteer a little bit of your time? The PCA are in need of volunteers to assist with processing stock to prepare all uniform items for sale, or you can offer to take items home to wash, sew buttons or repair small holes. If you are interested in volunteering, please email them for more information: secondhanduniforms@stmichaels.vic.edu.au
