St Michael’s operates five bus routes traveling from the North, East, South and West of Melbourne, to and from the School every day. Our buses are available to all St Michael’s students.
Due to COVID-19, we understand that many parents in our community have experienced financial stress. In addition to the fee relief we have offered, we have also revised the St Michael’s bus service price structure to improve the cost effectiveness of this service for our families. From May 25, bus ticket prices have been reduced by 50% and will now be $3.00 per child, one-way.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students, the St Michael’s Bus Service has implemented new physical distancing measures and a rigorous cleaning process, so that our students can travel safely to School, avoiding public transport. Please see below for some expectations for students who will be using the bus service.
For younger students who might be nervous about travelling on the bus for the first time, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your classroom teacher as we will endeavour to find bus buddies for those students.
NOTE: In the morning, all bus routes will operate in accordance with the normal scheduled departure times. In the afternoon, all bus routes will depart at 3:15pm. An additional VCE Bus service will be running, departing at 4:15pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Our online bus system replaces the paper based booking and payment system, and features online bookings and payment, real-time alerts and notifications, and the ability for parents to track their child’s journey online using smart touch on/tap off technology provided by our provider, RollCall.
To register for our online bus system, please email Andy Smith (Director of Operations K-12) to receive a welcome email to the new portal, which will include instructions on how students can obtain their StMYKI fob and how parents can activate their account. Once you have received the welcome email and activated your account, you can access the portal by visiting: https://stmichaelsgrammar.rollcall.com.au/parent/login.
