Travelling safely to St Michael's is simple and affordable, with seven private bus routes across Melbourne and various public transport options.

  • Windsor Train Station (Sandringham Line) is a five minute walk from campus, with the Dandenong Road intersection supervised by St Michael’s staff before and after school.
  • Tram stops for the #1 Tram (Melbourne University/Swanston Street), #52 Tram (Burke Road/Wattletree Road), #78 Tram (North Richmond to Balaclava) and the #68 Tram (East Brighton/Hawthorn Road) are located just minutes from our campus.
  • Multiple bus routes across Melbourne include stops on Dandenong Road, Alma Road and Chapel Street.

St Michael's Bus Service

St Michael’s operates seven bus routes travelling from the North, East, South and West of Melbourne, to and from our School everyday. Our routes include Williamstown, Port Melbourne, Keilor East, Glen Iris/Caulfield, Cheltenham/Brighton, Yarraville and Northcote/Brunswick.

  • Bus service is available to all St Michael’s students, Prep to Year 12.
  • Ticket prices are $3.50 per child, one-way, for all routes.
  • ‘Bus buddy’ system offers younger students an older peer who can support their adjustment to bus travel.

Online bus system

Our online bus system enables parents to make bookings, payments and monitor their child’s journey in real-time.

Through the online portal, families can book bus trips up to one school term in advance, choosing their route and preferred stop using an interactive online map.

After a student is booked into a trip, changes can be made to the booking up until the day before the trip.

StMYKI collection (P-3)
Once you have signed up for the St Michael’s Bus Service, your child will be able to collect their StMYKI from Marlton Reception and use this to swipe on and off the bus.

StMYKI’s will be available the day after you have activated your account.

Student ID cards (Years 4-12)
Students in Years 4–12 use their School student issued ID card to swipe on and off the bus and do not require a separate card.
