Our Early Learning Centre offers 3 year-old and 4 year-old kindergarten programs in an inspiring and engaging atmosphere, nestled within the award-winning St Michael’s K-12 campus.
With a strong focus on the development of knowledge, skills and confidence to prepare for schooling, our 3 and 4 year-old learners engage daily in literacy and numeracy, and their life skills, creativity and critical thinking are developed through music, art, language, movement and social programs led by specialist teachers.

We hold an ‘Exceeding’ rating from the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority. This means we go above and beyond what is expected, and our programs demonstrate excellence and innovation.
Programs in our ELC are influenced by the Reggio Emilia Education Project and guided by the Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
Before and After School Care
Before and After School Care and Holiday Programs run throughout the year, supporting working families and extending children’s learning and social development in a safe, supportive and highly resourced atmosphere. You can read more about TeamKids here.
Daily rate of $140 per day (2025). Families may also be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and the Free Kinder Subsidy.
Recently, our School received outstanding results from the Kindergarten Parent Opinion Survey 2024 conducted by the Department of Education.

From the early years, a St Michael’s education provides choice, breadth and depth. From Kindergarten, our learning is inquiry-driven, with a commitment to the Reggio Emilia Educational Project. Our educators observe, listen and research alongside the children, encouraging them to wonder and pose questions with many opportunities for critical, analytical, creative and reflective thinking.
St Michael’s Grammar School offers programs that are approved for Child Care Subsidy (CCS) . These services are Before School Care, After School Care, Holiday Program and our Kindergarten. Families may choose to apply to Centrelink to determine their level of CCS. Accessing the CCS is made on the parent’s initiative.

St Michael’s offers Before School Care, After School Care and Holiday Programs for students from our ELC through to Year 6. The Program is run and managed by TeamKids. TeamKids has a proven track record of delivering exceptional OSHC services, ensuring that your child is in safe and capable hands. By collaborating with TeamKids, we aim to enhance the quality, variety, and accessibility of our OSHC program. We believe that their professional approach, specialised resources, and extensive experience in providing exceptional care will bring significant benefits to our students and families.
