St Michael’s Scholarship program update

We are delighted to announce that a renewed St Michael’s Scholarship program for 2020 entry will open in November for a range of curricular and co-curricular areas and year levels.

The St Michael’s Scholarship program aims to encourage and recognise the diversity of our community, and the School’s commitment to each student’s holistic development and pursuit of educational excellence. St Michael’s Scholarships reward student achievement and effort. Students who receive Scholarships will have exemplary character and share the values of our School community, leading as positive role models for their peers. Successful applicants will display dignity, respect, care and compassion, and exhibit personal responsibility.

We are also pleased to invite current and new students to consider two exciting new Scholarship opportunities now available for 2019 entry.

Applications open now for 2019 Scholarships:

  • Academic Scholarships in Years 4, 9 and 10 (available to students currently in Years 3, 8 and 9)
We are pleased to receive applications from highly academically able new and current students entering Years 4, 9 or 10 in 2019. Academic Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate high academic potential and proven academic performance, and engage in a range of school-based, extracurricular and community activities. Find out more and apply online.
  • Science and Maths Scholarships for girls in Years 7 to 10 (available to girls currently in Years 6 to 9)
The Judith Whitworth Scholarships encourage young women to not only excel in Maths and Science but also look to a thriving career in the STEAM field. This Scholarship is available to girls, both current and new students, who demonstrate high academic potential and proven academic performance in the science and maths areas, and meaningfully engage in maths and/or science-related programs and activities on offer at St Michael’s, acting as role models for their peers and other female students in this field. Find out more and apply online.

Applications for both 2019 Academic and Judith Whitworth Scholarships close on Friday 24 August. Academic testing will take place at the School on Saturday 1 September (all applicants will sit an academic test).

We look forward to sharing more information about our renewed and comprehensive 2020 Scholarship Program as we approach November this year.
