Vision and Values

Our values live in the School community informing and shaping our decisions, actions and behavioural expectations. Inspired by the Anglican community of the Sisters of the Church who founded the School over 125 years ago, all members of our community are expected to embody these principles that make St Michael’s one of the most respected private schools in Melbourne.

Our Values

Dignity

We celebrate each student’s strengths and talents, encouraging them to reach their potential while communicating respectfully and protecting the privacy of others.

Respect

Students are taught to act with courtesy and integrity, care for each other’s property and the environment, and build trust through honest, responsible actions.

Care

We foster empathy and understanding, encouraging students to support and uplift each other and cultivate meaningful relationships.

Compassion

Students learn to appreciate individual circumstances, honour the efforts of others, and take positive actions that make a real difference in the community.
