The St Michael’s Grammar School Extended Tuition Program (ETP) offers students a valuable opportunity to develop their skills, interests, and talents beyond the classroom. The school currently provides a range of before and after-school programs for students from ELC – Year 12. Building on the program’s success, we are committed to expanding our offerings each year to meet the evolving needs and interests of our students. 2026 program offerings are listed below.

STEAM Programs
Ro/Box Robotics & Programming (Year7 - 9)
Ro/Box gives students the opportunity to build and customise their own robot while learning coding, robotics and engineering through hands-on projects. Students will explore how hardware and software work together, create interactive systems using sensors, and develop coding and problem-solving skills, with opportunities to progress to Python. The program is led by Michaelian and engineering student Ashton Doughty, creator of the Ro/Box educational robotics kits.
Activity and Movement Programs
Contemporary Dance (Year 7 - 12)
Contemporary Dance offers a creative and supportive space for students to explore movement, artistry, and self-expression. Blending classical and modern techniques, contemporary dance encourages freedom, creativity, and storytelling while building strength, control, and confidence.
Hip Hop (Year 6 - 9)
These energetic Hip Hop Dance classes give students a dynamic space to express themselves, build technical skills and connect through movement in a fun, inclusive environment. Led by professional instructors, sessions develop confidence, strength, musicality and performance skills through creative choreography and foundational hip hop techniques.
Creative Arts
Creative Cooking (Year 5 - 8)
The Creative Cooking Program inspires a love of healthy, simple and flavoursome home cooking through fun, hands‑on sessions using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Students build confidence and essential life skills as they learn food safety, sustainability and how to prepare nutritious meals that are good for both their bodies and the planet.
Music Production (Year 7 - 12)
Students can dive into the world of songwriting, recording and music production in this exciting new 7-week program delivered by professional producers from Evoke Sounds Studio. Using industry-standard software and equipment, students will learn how to create, record, arrange, mix and master their own original track while developing creativity, confidence and practical production skills. The program concludes with a tour of the renowned Evoke Sounds studio and a presentation of students completed songs on a professional sound system. A fantastic opportunity for aspiring musicians and producers to experience the music industry firsthand.
