Applying at St Michael's

Apply now for entry in 2027. Limited places available for 2026.

Prior to application, we recommend you attend an Open Morning to ensure that St Michael’s is the right school for your child.

School Tours are also available for imminent enrolment enquiries.

How to Enrol

Application

As a first step in the enrolment process, you will be required to complete the Waitlist Application. In addition, we ask for a copy of your child’s birth certificate and visa documentation (if applicable), and payment of the $150 Application Fee.

Submit Pre-Enrolment Documents

Along with the full Enrolment Form, please provide: * Most recent school and NAPLAN reports (if applicable) * Learning support or diagnostic reports (e.g. Speech, OT, Psychology) * Guardianship or court documents (if relevant) * AEAS results for international applicants

Attend an Interview

Before entry, families may be invited to attend an enrolment interview with a senior member of staff. This is a collaborative conversation with your child, designed to explore whether St Michael’s is the right fit for your family and how we can best support your child’s learning journey. If you haven’t yet had the opportunity, we encourage you to join us at an upcoming Open Morning or School Tour to experience our community firsthand.

Offer and Acceptance

Our School Team will review the application, assessment results and interview feedback. We will then reach out with the outcome and guide you through the next steps to finalise enrolment.

Please note that the above processes may vary for international and Kindergarten students.

All students applying for a place at St Michael’s Grammar School who do not have English as their first language are required to submit AEAS assessment. This test can be completed either in Australia or in the applicant’s country of origin. Further information is available at AEAS (Australian Education Assessment Services).

In addition, all International Students whose first language is not English, and who are applying for enrolment in Year 4 or above, will be required to submit with their Application for Entry a copy of an Australian English Assessment Standard (AEAS) test report taken within the last 6 months, demonstrating a result of 80 or above. The required score is currently under review. Please contact our enrolment team for further information.
