Old Michaelians

Our Community & Legacy

Once a student completes their educational journey at St Michael’s, they become part of the Old Michaelian community.

Old Michaelian community

St Michael’s has had an alumni association since 1911. More than 7000 Old Michaelians are still connected with the School, and alumni news is shared across the Old Michaelian network through the Old Michaelian Facebook group, The Crest Magazine and email updates.

Our Old Michaelian community makes a wonderful contribution to enriching our students’ experience across the School. We very much value their involvement and it is also important to us that our Old Michaelians feel connected to the School and each other.

If you wish to update your details to ensure you receive communication from the School by mail, including reunion invitations, you can update your details at any time. If you would like to share a story, notable achievement or community notice about an Old Michaelian or you wish to make a contribution to our School life in some way please email us at engagement@stmichaels.vic.edu.au

Reunions

Reunions bring our Old Michaelians’ rich knowledge of the School’s history to life. Every five years, past students are invited back to the School to renew friendships, connect with past teachers, tour the campus, and ask questions regarding recent developments. Please visit our Events page for booking details as they become available closer to the date of each reunion.

The Sandra Matheson Archives

The Old Michaelian Association includes the Archives Sub-Committee, which seeks to preserve the rich history of the School. The Sandra Matheson Archives is located on the ground floor of The Gipson Commons, with viewing appointments able to be made through the Archives Sub-Committee, or at scheduled archiving workshops held throughout the year. If you wish to participate or have some artefacts to donate to the Archives or have any questions, please contact our volunteers at  archives@stmichaels.vic.edu.au

St Michael’s is one of Australia’s leading independent coeducational schools, educating more than 1200 students from Kindergarten to VCE. We acknowledge the Boonwurrung People of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which St Michael’s stands. We pay respect to their ancestors, elders and emerging leaders, and we are committed to reconciliation through authentic relationships and continued cultural learning.
