St Michael’s is thrilled with the news that old Michaelian Oli Pizzey-Stratford (OM 2020) will be gracing our TV screens as he appears on the long-running soap opera, Neighbours. Oli will be guest-starring as Zane Wozniak, and will mark his spot on the beloved 37-year-old drama as the first actor with a disability in a wheelchair.
As an inspirational role model to the wider community, and those who live with disabilities, Oli told St Michael’s that accurate representation was something that he was most proud of.
If I had seen someone like me on TV growing up, it would have given me a sense of belief and hope. Even if one person is positively impacted by seeing me on TV, that would mean more to me than any role.Oli Pizzey Stratford (OM 2020)
Oli can be seen on 10 Peach at 6.30pm on Thursday 12 May and Thursday 26 May. We wish Oli all the best and we can’t wait to tune in to his guest spot on Neighbours.
