As Victoria comes into the new phase of Stage 4 restrictions, the School has decided on the following arrangements, in line with the Victorian Government:
Prep to Year 10 will continue online learning through the SchoL-AR 2.0 program. On Tuesday 4 August, Years 11 and 12 will also recommence remote and flexible learning.
For our VCE students, the General Achievement Test (GAT) will now be held on Wednesday, 7 October for all students in Victoria. We will be providing a suite of resources to support students in their preparation. The Victorian Government has also assured that ATAR scores will be available by the end of this year.
St Michael’s will continue to offer the School Supervision Service to families who meet the new criteria outlined by the Victorian Government.
From Thursday, 6 August, Margaret Thomas House will be open for children of permitted workers and children considered vulnerable only. We will offer remote and flexible learning to those who do not come under these criteria. Fees will not be charged for those children not attending the service onsite.
The School has implemented extensive cleaning protocols including progressive cleaning throughout the day and cleaning of touchpoints such as light switches, door handles and railings.
There are supplies of hand sanitiser and tissues available throughout the School.
The School has also put in place additional physical distancing measures for all remaining staff and students at the School.
For hygiene reasons, our Uniform policy has been relaxed so that students have the option of wearing their regular uniform (blazer optional) or their sports uniform. Hair below collar length should be tied back neatly.
