St Michael’s Grammar School Aquatics

Established in 2019, St Michael’s Grammar School Aquatics is a swimming club for St Michael’s students and the wider community. The club caters for swimmers in Year 5 and above with a focus on preparing students for competitions and/or maintaining fitness throughout the year.

There are two streams that swimmers can elect to participate in; the competitive stream and the fitness stream. Both streams train at the School’s indoor pool and gym complex with several sessions to choose from (a mix of sessions before school and in the evening). You can find out more here.

Students have access to a wide range of facilities as part of the club, including:

• Indoor heated 6 lane swimming pool
• Adjustable starting blocks for race practise
• Weights Room
• Indoor Basketball Court
• Study space for use after school before training

Swimmers in the competitive stream are required to purchase a Swimming Victoria membership, which will allow them to compete at the various meets throughout the year.

Aquastar Swim Schools is the provider of swimming lessons at St Michael’s.

Aquastar offers Learn to Swim (LTS) lessons available to all students. The current schedule for LTS lessons is Monday to Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings. To register for the swim school, please email Aquastar at stkilda@aquastarswim.com.au or visit www.aquastarswim.com.au.
