In 2017 St Michael’s Grammar School is actively engaged in 4 major Community Action days where all students from K–12 will be supporting selected charities. Community Action in 2017 incorporates local, national and global awareness with the underpinning foundation that “Together we can all make a difference”.

The Community Action Team will also nominate certain themes for the day and activities across the school.

A gold coin donation is gratefully appreciated on each of these days.

Students K-12 are permitted to wear casual clothes on these days however it is encouraged all students to participate in the theme of the day.

The Merry Month of May is also an engaging month for the students raising funds for charities of their choice. The School student leaders and Prefects organize engaging activities and fundraising over the 4 weeks and select 4 charities to support. The Leaders research, discuss and then decide on the charities they are passionate to support.

Sacred Heart Mission St. Kilda. St Michael’s has a long-standing and valued connection with the Sacred Heart Mission. Throughout the year students and staff walk to the mission and help prepare meals and then serve over 300 meals to those in need. It is a day of great community connection and a positive way to be actively involved in our local community.

Thank you to the following staff who are part of the Community service team.
